Enjoy Es Trenc, one of the most famous beaches in Mallorca.

Tabla de Contenidos

Es Trenc beach, located in the municipality of Campos, in the south of Mallorca, is one of the most famous and beautiful beaches of the island. Known as the “Majorcan Caribbean”, Es Trenc stands out for its fine white sand, crystal clear waters and a protected natural environment that makes it a paradise for visitors. In this article we tell you everything you need to know for your next visit to Es Trenc.

A dream beach

Es Trenc is a virgin beach, with no tourist constructions nearby, which preserves its natural beauty. It is surrounded by dunes and the Salobrar de Campos, an important wetland. Its waters are shallow and bright turquoise, ideal for swimming and snorkeling, which is why it is known as the Mallorcan Caribbean.

The beach stretches for almost 3 kilometers and has a width of approximately 20 meters. It has plenty of space to place the umbrella, but in high season we recommend you arrive early to the beach because otherwise it will be difficult to find a good place.

How to get there

By car

If you have a rental car, the best way to get to Es Trenc beach is by car. In K10 Mobility you have a wide range of vehicles with which you can explore the island at your own pace.

From Palma de Mallorca, the beach is about 50 kilometers away. You can follow the Ma-6030 road to Sa Ràpita and then continue to Es Trenc.

Parking

There is a fairly large pay parking lot near the beach, although it fills up quickly in high season. It costs eight euros and card payment is available.

Access

To access the beach, at the beginning of the parking lot you will see a sandy path that will not take more than five minutes to walk.

What to do on your visit to Es Trenc

  • Stroll along the beach: enjoy long walks along the shore, especially during sunrise or sunset.
  • Snorkel: the clear, shallow waters of this beach are perfect for exploring marine life.
  • Visit the Es Trenc salt pans: learn about sea salt production on a guided tour of the nearby salt pans.
  • Excursion to Cabrera Island: from the nearby Colonia de Sant Jordi, you can take a boat to visit this national park.

Services and gastronomy

Although it is a virgin beach, Es Trenc has some stalls where you can buy food and drinks. On this beach you will not find restaurants and beach bars to eat.

Another option is to eat at a restaurant near Colonia de Sant Jordi to enjoy the local gastronomy.

The beach has lifeguard service during the summer months.

Recommendations

  • Arrive early: during the summer months, the beach can fill up quickly, so it is advisable to arrive early to find a good spot and parking.
  • Bring shade and water: there are not many facilities on the beach, so bring your own umbrella and enough water to keep you hydrated, as well as something to eat.
  • Take care of the natural environment: Es Trenc is a protected beach, so it is important not to leave garbage and to respect the local indications to help preserve its natural beauty.
