Discover the hidden treasures of Alcudia: a Mediterranean jewel
Undoubtedly, the island of Mallorca has countless attractions, one of them is the town of Alcudia.
Located in the northeast of the island, between the bay of Pollensa and the bay of Alcudia, it is one of the most beautiful towns thanks to its cultural and historical heritage, gastronomy and dream beaches, a visit you cannot miss on your trip to Mallorca. Discover in this article what to see in your visit to Alcudia.
1. Beaches of Alcudia

Muro Beach
Muro beach is divided into four sectors: sector 1, sector 2, Es Comú and Ses Casetes des Capellans.
In sector 1 and sector 2, you will find postcard images: narrow piers that go into the sea and from which you can contemplate an unforgettable sunset.
In these sectors of the beach there is a wide gastronomic offer of beach bars and beach clubs where you can enjoy the gastronomy of the island with the Mediterranean Sea in the background.
The area of the beach of Muro that belongs to the Natural Park of S’albufera framed by a protected dune system is Es Comú. To access it you can do it from the shore or the inland area following the enabled paths. This beach of white sand and virgin nature has a great variety of fauna and flora that changes according to the season of the year.
As it is a protected area, there are no buildings or services of hammocks and umbrellas, so we recommend that you take with you everything you need to spend a day at the beach.
At one end of the beach you will find Ses Casetes des Capellans, one of the most special and charming areas of the town. A corner full of small fishermen’s houses built on the sand. In this sector of the beach you will find some of the most famous beach bars in the whole island.
Coll Baix Beach

Coll Baix beach is a unique cove, an unspoiled environment protected by high cliffs and pine forests. To access it you must do it on foot and follow a marked path. In total it takes about twenty-five minutes, but it is worth the walk to enjoy this paradise.
S’illot beach
The beach of S’illot owes its name to an islet that can be seen from the shore and that protects it from the winds of the Tramontana. This beach is not of fine white sand, but is formed by round stones and rocks. This beach is recommended for those seeking tranquility and enjoy nature away from crowded beaches, also for those looking to enjoy an activity such as diving, as this area has a rocky seabed and crystal clear waters.
Having a rental car in Mallorca will allow you to move comfortably to the beaches without depending on schedules or public transport. The beaches have parking lots where you can leave your car and access the beaches through their paths and trails.
Other beaches to visit in Alcudia are Los Pinos beach, Alcudia beach, Sant Joan, Sant Pere, Aucanada or Es Faralló.
