One of the main points of interest in the village is the Valldemossa Charterhouse<\/strong>, a former monastery<\/strong> where the famous Polish composer Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Chopin and the French writer George Sand stayed in the winter of 1838-1839. Their stay in Valldemossa has left an indelible mark on the history of the place and has attracted numerous admirers of music and literature over the years. <\/p> \n \n

During the visit to the Charterhouse, tourists can tour the cells where Chopin and George Sand lived during their stay. These cells have been kept in their original state and offer a fascinating insight into<\/strong> what life was like in the monastery at the time. <\/p> \n \n

Enjoy the gastronomy and visit the local stores and handicraft stores.<\/strong><\/p> \n \n

You cannot leave Valldemossa without tasting the coca de patata<\/strong>, a sweet and spongy pastry typical of the town. In addition, in the old town, you will find several craft stores and local products where you can buy souvenirs and typical products<\/strong> of the region. <\/p> \n \n
